Baseball Game Preview: Christian County Colonels vs. Greenwood Gators

The Christian County Colonels are taking a road trip to take on the Greenwood Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christian County's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Greenwood's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Tuesday, Christian County came up short against Trigg County and fell 6-1.

Meanwhile, Greenwood waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 5-2. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 10, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Christian County's defeat dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Greenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 23-6.

Christian County couldn't quite get it done against Greenwood when the teams last played back in March of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Colonels avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
