Basketball Recap: Hoxie Extends Winning Streak to Three

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hoxie had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They snuck past the Oakley Plainsmen with a 47-42 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Oakley lost, don't look at Mason Jackson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 12 points and 19 boards. Jackson has been hot, having posted eight or more rebounds the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Carter Selensky, who posted eight points.

Hoxie's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Oakley, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-13.

As of now, neither Hoxie nor Oakley have any future games scheduled.
