Softball Game Preview: Cretin-Derham Hall Raiders vs. Park Wolfpack

Cretin-Derham Hall hasn't had much luck against Park recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Raiders will take on the Wolfpack at 4:30 p.m.

Benilde-St. Margaret's hit Cretin-Derham Hall with a four-run first inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders fell just short of the Red Knights by a score of 5-3.

Anna Rafferty and Teagan Jacobs did some serious damage despite the final result: Rafferty went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Jacobs went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Jacobs has launched this season.

Meanwhile, Park entered their tilt with White Bear Lake on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Bears with a sharp 8-1 win. The Wolfpack might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Cretin-Derham Hall's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Park, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3.

Cretin-Derham Hall suffered a grim 10-2 defeat to Park when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Raiders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
