Basketball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss. They were dealt a 48-13 defeat at the hands of the Port Jervis Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 42-24 back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Monticello lost, don't look at Morgan Hutchins. Despite the final result, she posted seven points along with 11 rebounds and three steals.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Port Jervis, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-5.

Monticello does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Port Jervis has already played their next contest (against O'Neill), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
