Preview: Manhattan Tigers vs. Broadwater Bulldogs
The Manhattan Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Broadwater Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Manhattan has seven straight wins, Broadwater has ten straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Even though Jefferson scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, Manhattan still came out on top. Manhattan snuck past Jefferson with a 63-57 win.
Meanwhile, Broadwater suffered their biggest loss since December 8, 2023 on Saturday. They were dealt a 83-39 defeat at the hands of Three Forks. While losing is never fun, Broadwater can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while Three Forks is ranked 49th).
Manhattan's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Broadwater, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.
Everything went Manhattan's way against Broadwater in their previous matchup on January 5th as Manhattan made off with a 79-58 win. Will Manhattan repeat their success, or does Broadwater have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
