Gainesville is 8-0-2 against Suwannee since November of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Gainesville Hurricanes will square off against the Suwannee Bulldogs at 7:20 p.m. Gainesville's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Gainesville's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fleming Island back in December of 2024. While losing is never fun, the Hurricanes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, Suwannee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Chiles, falling 7-0.

Gainesville's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-3. As for Suwannee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13-1.

Gainesville beat Suwannee 3-1 when the teams last played back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Gainesville since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
