Horizon Honors extends road winning streak to 14

Recap: Horizon Honors Eagles vs. Santa Cruz Valley Dust Devils

The Horizon Honors Eagles posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 51-12 win over Santa Cruz Valley on the road. Given Horizon Honors' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while Santa Cruz Valley is ranked 285th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Horizon Honors found their leader in underclassman Audriana Anglada, who scored 16 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Gracia, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Horizon Honors' win was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-5. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Horizon Honors' road trip will continue as they head out to face Tempe Prep at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. As for Santa Cruz Valley, they will face off against Sequoia Pathway Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sequoia Pathway Academy is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
