Softball Recap: Montgomery Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Montgomery and Ukiah, and Ukiah kept the tradition alive. The Vikings fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The Vikings were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Elise Mitchell made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run.

Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 13-12. As for Ukiah, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Montgomery nor Ukiah have any future games scheduled.
