Volleyball Recap: Stansbury Takes a Loss

Stansbury lost against Cottonwood back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stansbury Stallions fell just short of the Cottonwood Colts by a score of 3-2. The Stallions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Stansbury sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-27, 27-25, 22-25, 15-12.

Mo Lokemba paced Stansbury's offense, picking up 12 kills. Lokemba got some help from Spencer Kaufman and his 28 assists. Zac Jeremia controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Stansbury's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Cottonwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Stansbury will square off against Hillcrest at 6:30 p.m. on March 25th. As for Cottonwood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Olympus on the 19th.
