It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but South Brunswick had no problem doing just that  on Tuesday. They didn't even let the Western Harnett Eagles on the board, marking their second-straight  10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won ten matches by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Savana Burgess and  Addison Woodruff did most of the damage at the plate:  Burgess  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run, while  Woodruff  went 2-for-3 with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  double. That's the most  RBI  Burgess has posted since back in March of 2024.  Olivia Brown was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs and one  triple.
 South Brunswick  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in five consecutive  contests.
South Brunswick is  on a roll lately: they've  won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.5 runs on average over those games. As for Western Harnett, their defeat was  their third straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 11-11.
As of now, neither South Brunswick nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
