Baseball Recap: Musselman Finds Home Field Redemption Against Greenbrier East

There's no place like home for Musselman, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Greenbrier East Spartans on Friday by a score of 4-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory was some much needed relief for the Applemen as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kamdyn Woolum tossed a big game, striking out 11 batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has become a key player for Musselman: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-10 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Will Polvinale, who went 2-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted over his last 11 contests.

Musselman's record is now 6-11. As for Greenbrier East, their record now sits at 11-6.
