The Person Rockets will face off against the Orange Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Person is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.
Person had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Williams on Wednesday. Person put the hurt on Williams with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Rockets not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 9, 2024.

Macey Bowes made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 13 over six innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Those two hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Camryn Clarke, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kenzley Horne, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.
Person hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Orange was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 7-1 to Cedar Ridge.
Allie Carden was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run.
Orange's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Person, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Orange's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Person has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Orange, though, as they've been averaging only 2.5 strikeouts. Will Person keep running through batters, or will Orange buck the trend?
Person came out on top in a nail-biter against Orange in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. Does Person have another victory up their sleeve, or will Orange turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
