Pomperaug has gone a perfect 10-0 against Bethel recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Panthers will challenge the Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pomperaug has three straight victories, Bethel has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Sunday, Pomperaug made easy work of Joel Barlow and carried off a 15-1 win. That looming 15-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Panthers yet this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Bethel took on Brookfield on Saturday. The Wildcats lost 9-1 to the Bobcats.

Bethel's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Pomperaug, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Pomperaug was able to grind out a solid win over Bethel in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
