Continental was handed a heart-breaking two-run  defeat in their last  game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Pandora-Gilboa  on Tuesday. The Pirates blew past the Rockets 16-0. The  victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Rockets: they've now won six in a row.
 Gracie Homier made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  tossed less than seven  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Kenzie Searfoss and  Cassie Pier did most of the damage at the plate:  Searfoss  went 1-for-2 with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Pier  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  RBI,  and two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Maeci Dockery, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Continental  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pandora-Gilboa only posted  an  OBP of  .062.
Continental now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pandora-Gilboa, their loss was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-2.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Continental will host Antwerp  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Archers have averaged an impressive 8.2  runs per game this season. As for Pandora-Gilboa, they will be playing at home against McComb  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. This will  be the Rockets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
