Basketball Recap: Vista Ridge Takes a Loss

Vista Ridge won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They came up short against the Highlands Ranch Falcons, falling 69-48. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Highlands Ranch to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mason Lane, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Those 13 rebounds gave Lane a new career-high. Another player making a difference was George West III, who went 7 of 12 en route to 16 points along with five assists and four steals.

Vista Ridge's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Highlands Ranch, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vista Ridge will host Rampart at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Rampart's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Highlands Ranch, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Castle View at 7:00 p.m. Highlands Ranch has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
