Volleyball Recap: Gulfport Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Gulfport had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Lake Cormorant. The Admirals have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Lake Cormorant, too.

While Gulfport won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21.

Looking ahead, Gulfport will be taking part in a tournament against Alcorn Central at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Cormorant, they will head out on the road to face off against Clinton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
