Softball Recap: Lakeland Eagles vs. Athens Red Hawks

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Lakeland had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Athens Red Hawks a 15-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Lakeland, who have now won 17 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kellie Mueller looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
