Baseball Game Preview: El Segundo Eagles vs. Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves

For the second straight game, El Segundo will face off against Wiseburn- Da Vinci. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Wolves at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. El Segundo's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Wiseburn- Da Vinci's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

El Segundo's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Wednesday's struggle, when Wiseburn- Da Vinci hitters got past them. The Eagles came up short against the Wolves on Wednesday, falling 11-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered since May 10, 2024.

For Wiseburn- Da Vinci's part, Edward Sanchez was incredible, firing off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave Sanchez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lonnie Jackson, who went 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Sanchez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Wiseburn- Da Vinci kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Wolves are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

With the defeat, El Segundo broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-3-1. As for Wiseburn- Da Vinci, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5.
