Softball Recap: Old Saybrook Rams vs. Hale Ray Noises        
        
		
            
 Old Saybrook had to hit the road for their first game and  sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. Their  tough  19-0 defeat to the Hale Ray Noises  on Friday might stick with them for a while. The  loss means Old Saybrook is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
 For Hale Ray's part,  Lily Jahne made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   keeping things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Jahne was also stellar in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news, Hale Ray got a  massive  performance out of  Julia Campbell, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.  Fenway Jankowski was another key contributor,  going 2-for-3 with three  runs, four  RBI,  and a  double.
 The  victory  made it two in a row for Hale Ray and  bumps their season record up to 2-0.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Old Saybrook will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on East Hampton at 4:00  p.m.  on April 16th. As for Hale Ray, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Old Lyme at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
