Manteno came out on top against Lisle on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Panthers put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 6-0 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Manteno's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Lisle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.

Looking ahead, Manteno will take on Clifton Central at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Comets have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
