Volleyball Preview: Hanson Beavers vs. Wagner Red Raiders
Hanson has been on the road for two straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will welcome the Wagner Red Raiders at 7:00 p.m.
Last Monday, Hanson was able to grind out a solid victory over McCook Central/Montrose, taking the game 3-1.
The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-27, 25-20, 25-11.
Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Wagner had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Fighting Cougars with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Red Raiders as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
While Wagner might've won, it sure wasn't easy: McCook Central/Montrose scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-22, 25-23.
Wagner now has a winning record of 16-15. As for Hanson, they have been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.
