Baseball Recap: Franklin Takes a Loss

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 28th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Greensville County Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 last Monday.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Greensville County, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Franklin is set to take on their familiar foe Surry County at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Greensville County will square off against rival Southampton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
