Baseball Game Preview: Jacobs Golden Eagles vs. Huntley Red Raiders

For the second straight game, Jacobs will face off against Huntley. The Golden Eagles will take on the Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Jacobs' offense. They fell just short of Huntley by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The Golden Eagles haven't had much luck with the Red Raiders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Spencer Drummond was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, Jacobs saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Robertsen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Robertsen's first of the season.

Jacobs' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Huntley, they moved to 8-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
