Baseball Recap: Santana Comes Up Short

Santana lost to Monte Vista on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Sultans fell 6-2 to the Monarchs. The Sultans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santana got a good showing from Micah Carillo, who pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Carillo a new career-low.

Santana's defeat dropped their record down to 12-15. As for Monte Vista, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Santana nor Monte Vista have any future games scheduled.
