Basketball Recap: Windsor Takes a Loss

Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a hard 55-41 fall against the Maria Carrillo Pumas. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-43 back in January.

It was another big night for James Hillestad, who went 6 for 7 en route to 16 points along with six assists and six boards for Maria Carrillo. Hillestad is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Henry Peters, who posted six points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

Windsor's record now sits at 11-13. As for Maria Carrillo, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.

Windsor will take on Montgomery at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Montgomery will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Windsor surely won't give up without a fight. As for Maria Carrillo, they will host San Marin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Maria Carrillo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.9 points per game this season.
