Baseball Recap: Hartford Extends Road Winning Streak to Six

Hartford won against West Bend East on Wednesday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Orioles had just enough and edged out the Slinger Owls 4-3. The win continues a trend for the Orioles in their matchups with the Owls: they've now won eight in a row.

Carter Kutz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up six Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Joe Landgraf was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Kaiden Romens, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Hartford pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.7 runs. As for Slinger, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-2.

Looking ahead, Hartford will take on New Berlin Eisenhower at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Slinger, they will host Port Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
