Basketball Recap: California Lutheran Comes Up Short

On Wednesday, the California Lutheran C-Hawks came up short against the Paloma Valley Wildcats and fell 64-53. The C-Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why California Lutheran lost, don't look at Ethan Ash. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. The game was Ash's 22nd in a row with at least ten points. Jonas Vogel was another key player, putting up six points.

Even though they lost, California Lutheran smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in ten consecutive matches.

California Lutheran's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Paloma Valley, they moved to 8-12 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
