Football Game Preview: Easton Valley vs. Central Warriors

Easton Valley are taking a road trip to challenge the Central Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Easton Valley has given up an average of 26.7 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Easton Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Iowa's top teams: Edgewood-Colesburg, who was ranked fifth at the time (Easton Valley was ranked 11th). Easton Valley had to suffer through a 58-28 loss at the hands of Edgewood-Colesburg. Easton Valley has struggled against Edgewood-Colesburg recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Central ended up a good deal behind Cedar Ridge Christian on Friday and lost 41-26.

Having lost for the first time this season, Easton Valley fell to 5-1. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.

Everything came up roses for Easton Valley against Central in their previous meeting back in September of 2021, as the squad secured a 67-8 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Easton Valley since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
