Baseball Game Preview: Mora Mustangs vs. East Central Eagles

The Mora Mustangs will head out to take on the East Central Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Mora will be strutting in after a victory while East Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Mora was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Rush City on Tuesday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 7-1 win.

Meanwhile, East Central fell victim to Crosby-Ironton and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Rangers. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

East Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dane Swenson, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Eddie Rote also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

East Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mora, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Mora came out on top in a nail-biter against East Central in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
