Baseball Game Preview: Rockdale Tigers vs. Pflugerville Connally Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Rockdale Tigers take on Pflugerville Connally Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pflugerville Connally took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Rockdale, who comes in off a win.

Rockdale is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since February 17th on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Lexington 6-5. Six seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Pflugerville Connally fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Pflugerville on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 6-4. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Diego Arizpe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Connor Ngo also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Rockdale and bumps their season record up to 6-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Pflugerville Connally, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
