Softball Recap: River Valley Comes Up Short

The River Valley Raiders lost 19-5 to the Piketon Redstreaks on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that the Raiders have lost by exactly 14 runs.

Jacklynn Richards made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

River Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Piketon, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-2.

River Valley wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 21-1 defeat against Meigs on the 20th. As for Piketon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 26-0 victory against Paint Valley on the 17th.
