Volleyball Recap: Minooka Finds Home Court Redemption Against Plainfield East

There's no place like home for Minooka, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Plainfield East Bengals by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Bengals: they've now won five in a row.

Minooka easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-15.

Cameron Garcia paced Minooka's offense, picking up seven kills. Garcia got some help from Kendall Kozak and her eight assists.

Minooka's victory bumped their record up to 24-11. As for Plainfield East, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-25 record this season.

Minooka has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Pekin on the 28th. As for Plainfield East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Oswego on the 28th.
