Westminster Christian is a perfect 5-0 against St. Brendan since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Westminster Christian Warriors will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the St. Brendan Sabres at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Westminster Christian was handed a six-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Thursday. They skirted past Doral Academy 3-1.

Westminster Christian got a great performance from Aaron Hernandez as he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Juan Godoy, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Eric Eikenberg was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, St. Brendan put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against TERRA Environmental by a score of 6-2.

Justin Cardenas looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits.

At the plate, Luciano Nava and Jan Perez Fernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Nava went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while Perez Fernandez scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Alvarez, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

St. Brendan's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Westminster Christian, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Westminster Christian took their win against St. Brendan in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2. Will Westminster Christian repeat their success, or does St. Brendan have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
