Baseball Game Preview: Lansingburgh Knights vs. Voorheesville Blackbirds

The Lansingburgh Knights will face off against the Voorheesville Blackbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Thursday, Lansingburgh came up short against La Salle Institute and fell 9-5. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Cadets recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Braedan Kepner was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Daniel Vroman, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Voorheesville's season-opener last Wednesday wasn't quite what the team was looking for considering the end result. They and Berne-Knox-Westerlo finished up their match with a 6-6 draw.

Having lost for the first time this season, Lansingburgh fell to 2-1. Voorheesville's tie gives them a new season record of 0-0-1.

Lansingburgh skirted past Voorheesville 7-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Blackbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
