Volleyball Recap: Lexi Wideman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Twin Falls Christian Academy over Castleford

If Twin Falls Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Varsity Opponent last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Castleford Wolves on Tuesday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Twin Falls Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-16, 25-15, 25-22.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lexi Wideman, who had 14 digs.

With the loss, Twin Falls Christian Academy broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 5-3. As for Castleford, the victory got them back to even at 6-6.

Twin Falls Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Camas County on the 2nd. As for Castleford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Dietrich on the 2nd.
