Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Defeat Ends Twin Falls Christian Academy's Winning Streak

After flying high against Varsity Opponent last Monday, Twin Falls Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Warriors took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Castleford Wolves on Tuesday. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Twin Falls Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-16, 25-15, 25-22.

Caity Cunningham paced Twin Falls Christian Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Cunningham got some help from Claire Walker and her 15 assists. San Lun Ngo controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

With the defeat, Twin Falls Christian Academy broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 5-3. As for Castleford, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Twin Falls Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Camas County on the 2nd. As for Castleford, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Dietrich on the 2nd.
