Volleyball Recap: Alcuin Beats Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric for Their Eighth Straight Victory

Alcuin put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric Lions 3-0. This was payback for the Hawks, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Alcuin's got stronger as the match went on, holding Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-14, 25-9.

Juliana Sanchez was the offensive standout of the game as she had 12 digs and two assists.

Alcuin was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in five consecutive matches.

Alcuin's win bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5-1.

Alcuin has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Dallas Lutheran on the 4th. As for Coram Deo Academy Rhetoric, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Faith Lutheran on the 4th.
