Hopkinsville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Northeast, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 14-4 margin over the Eagles on Thursday. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Hopkinsville got a big performance out of Jayden Kellum, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave Kellum a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Layton Lindsey, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Hopkinsville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Hopkinsville's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Northeast, they moved to 8-14 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Hopkinsville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
