Basketball Recap: Cedric Johnson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lodi Academy over Humphreys Able Charter

Lodi Academy lost against Humphreys Able Charter back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lodi Academy Titans took a 52-36 bruising from the Humphreys Able Charter Legacy. The Titans just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cedric Johnson, who posted 12 points and five steals. Johnson has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cole Berreth, who earned nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.

Joshua Thompson had an outrageously good game for Humphreys Able Charter as he had 19 points. The dominant performance gave Thompson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Khamseng Milavong, who put up 11 points.

Lodi Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Humphreys Able Charter, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Lodi Academy will host Tioga at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lodi Academy is facing Tioga at the right time seeing as Tioga is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Humphreys Able Charter, they will welcome Elliot Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
