Basketball Recap: Juarez Takes a Loss

Juarez was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 45-27 bruising from the Kennedy Crusaders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-25 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Juarez still got an impressive performance from Martha Patino, who posted 11 points. Rosamaria Babarinde also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Juarez's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Kennedy, their record is now 18-4.

Juarez is taking a road trip to take on Phoenix Military at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Juarez is facing Phoenix Military at the right time seeing as Phoenix Military is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Kennedy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 33-26 victory against Christ the King on the 25th.
