Recap: The Ambrose School Archers vs. Compass Charter Aviators

In what's become a running theme this season, The Ambrose School Archers gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They blew past Compass Charter 71-34 at home. Given The Ambrose School's advantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Compass Charter is ranked 103rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Compass Charter lost, one person who can't be blamed is Thore Lucas. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kellen Walbuck, who scored five points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

The Ambrose School has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. As for Compass Charter, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

The Ambrose School will take on Melba at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Melba's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matches. Compass Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Marsing at 7:00 p.m. on February 14th. Marsing is on a six-game streak of home losses, Compass Charter a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change.
