Baseball Game Preview: Governor Mifflin Mustangs vs. Donegal Indians

The Governor Mifflin Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Donegal Indians at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Governor Mifflin put up the most runs they have all season on Thursday. They never let Conrad Weiser get on the board and left with a 21-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Scouts: they've now won six in a row.

Meanwhile, Donegal got the win against Eastern Lebanon County on Monday by a conclusive 11-0. That looming 11-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Indians yet this season.

Ethan Laubach looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025.

At the plate, Donegal got a massive performance out of Chase Cornelius, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Cornelius has posted since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Cornelius, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Donegal always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastern Lebanon County only posted an OBP of .125.

The win got Governor Mifflin back to even at 4-4-1. As for Donegal, their record now sits at 5-2-1.
