Football Recap: Titusville Takes a Loss

Titusville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against Slippery Rock, falling 37-14. The game was a close 8-6 at the break, but unfortunately for Titusville it sure didn't stay that way.

Although Titusville took the loss, they still got scores from Jaydin O'Neill and Sawyer Wolfkiel.

Titusville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Slippery Rock, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-5.

Titusville and Slippery Rock could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Rockets will face off against Sharon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (482 vs. 176). Meanwhile, Slippery Rock (ranked 442nd) will meet Hickory (ranked 76th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
