Softball Recap: Packinghouse Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Packinghouse Christian Academy lost against Calvary Baptist on Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bears came up short against the Cougars, falling 12-1. The matchup marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Madison Hopkins was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

Packinghouse Christian Academy now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Calvary Baptist, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Packinghouse Christian Academy and Calvary Baptist will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Bears see the field they'll take on Mesa Grande Academy at 4:00 p.m. on May 6. As for Calvary Baptist, their break will end when they face Sherman Indian at 3:15 p.m. on the 29th.
