Football Recap: Fort Dale Academy Starts Season with Win Against Lakeside School

Fort Dale Academy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Lakeside School Chiefs 44-0. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 21-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Blake Slagley threw for 61 yards while completing 83.3% of his passes. On the ground, Isaac Lowery rushed for 53 yards on only seven carries.

Fort Dale Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 17-16 win against Wilcox Academy on the 29th. As for Lakeside School, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Edgewood Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. The match will give the Chiefs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
