Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Midland Trail). They blew past the Greenbrier West Cavaliers 84-39 on Wednesday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-15.

Leading Midland Trail to victory were Payton Bailes and Thad Brown. Bailes went 8 of 12 en route to 21 points, while Brown went 6 for 12 on his way to 16 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. The dominant performance gave Brown a new career-high in assists. Another player making a difference was Ben Harrison, who posted seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

They weren't the only one working in the assists department: Midland Trail was working as a unit and finished the game with 20 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Midland Trail's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-5. As for Greenbrier West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
