Marquette Catholic extended their winning streak to four on Monday, bumping their season record up to 7-9 in the process. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Westville Blackhawks. The Blazers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

As for Westville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. They just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

For Westville's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maverick Markos, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double. That double was Markos' first of the season.

Coming up, Marquette Catholic will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Kouts at 4:30 p.m. The Blazers will need to watch out since the Mustangs & Fillies have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups. As for Westville, they will square off against River Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
