Volleyball Recap: Illinois Math & Science Academy Takes a Loss

Illinois Math & Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Earlville Red Raiders. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Red Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Illinois Math & Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-18-1. As for Earlville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Illinois Math & Science Academy will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Joliet Central at 5:30 p.m. on the 20th. As for Earlville, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Leland on the 11th.
