Volleyball Recap: Northland Christian's Undefeated Season over After 12 Games + How To Watch

Northland Christian suffered their biggest loss since October 8, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles. Northland Christian hasn't had much luck with Maranatha Christian Academy recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Northland Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.

Molly Day paced Northland Christian's offense, picking up six kills. Day got some help from Kinley Carr and her 12 assists. Dray Bourn controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Northland Christian fell to 10-1-1. As for Maranatha Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.

Northland Christian and Maranatha Christian Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. Northland Christian (ranked 82nd) will meet Kansas City Christian School (ranked 207th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Maranatha Christian Academy will take on West Franklin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (48 vs. 260).
