Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Northwest Whitfield's Eighth in Last Nine Outings + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Calhoun, Northwest Whitfield was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Heritage Generals. This was a revenge game for the Bruins: when they faced off against the Generals back in August, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Paola Cuna had a dynamite game, getting 21 digs and two aces. Those 21 digs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Paislee Miner, who had ten digs.

Despite the loss, Heritage still got an impressive performance from Athena Brock, who had 16 digs.

Northwest Whitfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-14 record this season. As for Heritage, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-21.

Northwest Whitfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Heritage, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fayette County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
